Manna Mortgage Loan Programs

Manna Mortgage offers a full range of mortgage services and expertise.

  1. Pre-Qualification & Mortgage Readiness Assessment for Purchase & Refinance.  If you need basic information on how to qualify for a mortgage and how much mortgage you might be able to afford, call us.  There is no cost for a pre-qualification assessment.

  2. Recommendations for how to become mortgage ready.  Not everyone is ready for a mortgage or refinance right away.  We'll help you figure out what actions you need to take to become mortgage ready.

  3. Maximize borrowers' buying power.

  4. Minimizing the amount of cash needed for a down payment and closing costs.

  5. Addressing credit challenges for purchases and refinance loans.

  6. Utilizing all government, corporate, nonprofit, and private mortgage assistance programs to the maximum extent possible.

  7. Pre-Approval Letters. If you are getting ready to shop for a home and want a mortgage pre-approval letter to help work with real estate agents or sellers, call us to make an appointment for a pre-approval interview by phone of in person.

  8. Mortgage Loan Applications.  If you are ready to make a contract offer for a home, call us to make an appointment for a Mortgage Loan Application by phone or in person.  We will explain the process and the laon programs we offer before scheduling the application.

  9. Homebuyer Education.  Manna Mortgage requires mortgage applicants to complete a homebuyer education program or counseling from a HUD- approved counseling agency.  We recommend that applicants complete a program before entering into a purchase contract.

Loans can only be made for property in Washington, DC. The very low, low and moderate income borrowers Manna Mortgage serves need stable and predictable housing payments. Therefore, most all of our loans are 30 year fixed rate mortgages.

  • Our loans have low fees, reasonable rates, and good terms.

  • We seek, as a mission-driven non-profit organization, to structure the mortgage loan package which will best meet each borrower’s needs in the long term.

  • We often recommend preparatory steps which will improve the terms of the loan for purchase or refinance in order for the borrower to obtain a stable and affordable mortgage.

  • We disclose all fees and all that Manna Mortgage earns.
